Teaching Explicit Programming Strategies to Adolescents

Teaching Explicit Programming Strategies to Adolescents investigates the teaching of explicit strategies in the classroom to adolescent students. This paper was accepted to SIGCSE 2019. The primary investigators of the paper were Dr. Thomas LaToza from George Mason University and Dr. Amy Ko from University of Washington.

I primarly helped collect data during class sessions, analyze that data using R, and report on the data. Throughoutthis project, I learned a great deal about the research process and about many methods of qualitative and quantitative data analysis used in research.

Tools used: Excel, JavaScript, LaTeX, R
